It was June 2006. It was an eight-day mission trip. Fifteen dedicated people banded together, prayed for guidance, raised monies, and took a life changing journey in the Dominican Republic. Decisions were made for Jesus Christ. Miracles from God were everywhere. One decision changed our lives forever. Garnett "David" accepted the call from God to return to the Dominican Republic for full-time missions.

It has been two years in the making. The preparation time has gone by so quickly. Garnett "David" and Mildred "Ruth" Damewood, charged by God with the mission to reach the people of the Dominican Republic for Jesus Christ now are ready to step out on faith that God will provide.

Hurricanes Dolly, Edouard, Gustav and Ike caused considerable damage in the Dominican Republic this year. Now more rains continue. So many people, who already had so very little lost everything, including life in these events. These are a people in need in rebuilding their lives, homes, jobs, health and soul. We are looking forward to this mission, meeting needs of the body as we meet needs of the spirit.
